The giant pandas are similar to the size of an American black bear and if they stand, they can be as tall as 3 ft. The males are larger and heavier than the females. While male pandas weigh around 250 pounds, females weigh around 200 pounds.
Gibbon
Gibbon is an omnivore mammal that has a lifespan of 35-40 years. The size of males is up to 90 cm long and they weigh around 15 pounds or 7kg. Their group name is troop or band. Gibbons is agile at their feet and highly acrobatic.
Just like other monkeys, they spend a maximum part of their lives in trees. They live in small stable families consisting of a mated pair who are partners for life. The younger gibbons are immature till they’re 7 years old.
Gila Monster
Gila monster is a carnivore reptile that has an average lifespan of 20-30 years. They are 20in or 50cm in size and they weigh up to 1.8 kg or 4lbs. ‘Lounge’ is their group name. The most interesting thing about these animals is that their saliva is used for treating diabetes in humans.
They are one among the two types of venomous lizards, the Mexican beaded lizard being the other one. Though their protection status is threatened, they are usually found in the United States.
Giraffe
The scientific name of the giraffe is Giraffa camelopardalis. It is an herbivore mammal with a lifespan of about 25 years. Giraffes are the tallest animals and hence their height is up to 19ft.
They weigh around 3000 pounds and they usually reside in open plains to dense forests, wood savannas and open woodlands. They don’t prefer living in areas that are moist tropical forests. You’ll find lots of giraffes in Sub-Saharan Africa and East Africa.

Goose is an herbivore bird with an average lifespan of about 24 years in the wild. Their body size is between 30 and 45 in and their wingspan is between 4.2 and 5.6ft. It weighs up to 19.8 lbs.
Their group name is ‘flock’ and the plural of goose is ‘geese’. Geese belong to the Anatidae family which also includes swans. However, swans are bigger than geese and the ducks are much smaller.
Gorilla
The scientific name of Gorilla is gorilla beringei beringei and it is an herbivorous mammal and its average lifespan is 35 years. Gorillas live in dense rain forests. Their standing height is up to 6ft and they weigh 300 to 485 lbs.
Their protection status is endangered and their group name is ‘Band’ or ‘Troop’. Gorillas have a sturdy build with muscular, long arms, broad hands, huge chest, and feet. This is the hairiest race of gorillas with black thick hair that is there to insulate them from cold.
Great White Shark
The Great White Shark is a carnivore fish that weighs 5000 lbs or even more. Their group name is shoal or school.
Did you know that the great white sharks can detect even one drop of blood in 100 liters of water and they can sense it from a distance of 5 kilometers. They are torpedo-shaped with powerful tails with the help of which they propel through the water at 24km/hour.
